Terms of Service
Last updated October 5, 2026
Fingertip Kitchen (winklers-llc.com) is run by Joshua Winkler. These are the rules for using it, written in plain language. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. How we handle your information is on the privacy page.
The short version
- Your recipes are yours. You can download them or delete them any time.
- Be kind in the Community and in messages. We can remove posts and suspend accounts that break these rules.
- The AI can make mistakes. Check every recipe, especially amounts, temperatures, and allergy information.
- Printed books: if yours arrives damaged or misprinted, we'll replace it or refund you. Tell us within 30 days.
Who can use it
You need to be at least 13 years old. You're responsible for your account: keep your password and recovery codes somewhere safe. We can't see your password, so we can't tell you what it is.
Your recipes and photos
- You own what you add. We only store, copy, and show it as needed to run the app for you: in your book, in family cookbooks you add it to, in the Community if you share it, and by link if you make one.
- When you share to the Community or a family cookbook, other people can read it and save their own copy. If you later take it down, copies people already saved stay in their books.
- Only share what's yours to share. Family recipes are great. Please don't post whole pages copied from published cookbooks or magazines, or photos you don't have the right to use.
- Recipes you delete go to Recently Deleted for 30 days, then they're gone for good.
Community rules
In the Community, comments, profiles, and messages, please don't post anything hateful, threatening, sexual, or illegal, harass people, spam, or pretend to be someone else. You can report posts, comments, messages, and profiles, and block people. We may hide or remove content, and suspend accounts, that break these rules. A suspended account can still open and download its own recipes.
The AI reader
Fingertip Kitchen uses AI to read recipe cards and websites. It's good, but it isn't perfect, especially with faded or messy handwriting. You check each recipe before it's saved, and you're responsible for what you cook. Always double-check amounts, oven temperatures, cooking times, and anything that matters for food allergies or food safety.
Printed books
- Price: the price you see before paying includes printing, shipping, and sales tax. Books ship within the United States only.
- Made to order: each book is printed just for you by our printing partner, Lulu, soon after you pay, so orders can't be changed or canceled once paid.
- Check the preview: you see the inside pages and the cover before you order. The book is printed exactly as previewed, so please look it over for typos and anything you'd like to change first.
- Damaged, misprinted, or never arrived? Contact us within 30 days of delivery (or of the expected delivery date) with your order and, if you can, a photo. We'll send a free replacement, or a full refund if you'd prefer.
- We can't refund books that arrive as previewed because of a mistake in the recipes, a change of mind, or a wrong shipping address entered at checkout, but get in touch and we'll do our best to help.
Support payments
The “Support Fingertip Kitchen” button is a voluntary thank-you, not a purchase or a subscription. If you paid by mistake or the wrong amount, tell us within 30 days and we'll refund it.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your card number. Prices are in U.S. dollars.
Keeping the app running
- Fingertip Kitchen is free and is provided “as is.” We work hard to keep it running and your recipes safe, but we can't promise it will never have problems. Please keep your own copy: Account → Save to Flash Drive.
- We may change or add features over time. If we ever plan to shut the app down, we'll tell you in the app at least 60 days ahead, so you have time to download everything.
- To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Account → Delete my account. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these rules, or that are used to harm others or the app.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in an important way, we'll update the date at the top and let you know in the app.
